Purnell's 44 carries Adrian past Long Creek

Saturday: Adrian 83, Long Creek 64 — Blake Purnell and Bryan Reay attained milestones on the road to lead the Antelopes to a 1A High Desert League victory.
Purnell fired in a career-high 44 points and Reay had a triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. All of Purnell's points came from within the three-point arc, and he also grabbed 14 rebounds.
Justyn Findling added 11 points and Tommy Miller 10 for Adrian.
"Our transition offense was good today, they had a hard time containing our players on the break," Adrian coach Brent Ishida said. "This was a very physical game, our boys kept their composure for a nice win."
Three Mountaineers reached double-figures in scoring, including Teren Manning with 23 points.
