Disaster Auction warms up the gavel for Saturday

The Marsing Disaster Auction makes its annual return Saturday, with hundreds of items up for bid and dozens of donated prizes in several raffles.
The event kicks off at 10:13 a.m. at the Marsing American Legion Community Center at the corner of Old Bruneau Highway and 2nd Street North.
The Disaster Auction raises money each year to help those in need who have suffered crippling medical bills, loss of their home or other such devastating losses. Funds are also used in some community grants.
In 2009, the auction brought in $88,465.
