Voters to decide COSSA tech center levy Tuesday

The second run of the Marsing School District’s $474,000 levy — $237,000-per-year for two years — will be decided next week, with the Feb. 9 vote by residents of the district.
The same levy failed by three votes last year. All four of the other Cayon-Owyhee School Services Agency (COSSA) member districts — Homedale, Wilder, Parma and Notus — passed their own levies last year, covering their portions of the $5.3 million project.
The Marsing levy vote will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Feb. 9. Polling places will be open for Owyhee County voters at the Marsing Elementary and High School libraries, and at the sprint-boat track at the east end of the Idaho highway 55 bridge for Canyon County residents.
